Floyd H. Kutina

Floyd H. Kutina, 78, of Nevada, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at Moore-Few Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was born on Oct. 14, 1927, in Lucas, Kan., to Henry Kutina and Stella Parsons. Floyd and Helen Klontz were married on June 1, 1948.

Floyd moved to Missouri in the early 1940's. Most of his life was spent in the Nevada area where he made several friends. Floyd was a member of the Teamsters and drove for Yellow Freight from 1973 to 1994.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Kutina, Rex Kutina and Mark Kutina; two daughters, Arlene Bowen and Loretta Claspill, all of Nevada; four grandsons; four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Jean Button and Ruby Kutina, both of Fort Scott, Kan. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m., at Sandstone Cemetery in Milo, Mo. There will be no visitation.

Donations may be made to the Vernon County Cancer Society or the organization of the donors choice in Floyd's name.
