The Nevada Lady Tigers were handed their first varsity volleyball loss outside tournament play Thursday, as they fell at Stockton, 25-21, 25-16.
"They were good," Nevada head coach Trudy Fleeman said. "But we didn't play very well."
Fleeman said lack of concentration and mental preparedness factored greatly into the outcome.
"It was a real eye opener," she said. "We need to get focused."
Brittany Crockett led Nevada with five kills, and also had two blocks.
Ashleigh Bryson had six blocks to pace the team, also contributing four kills.
Amanda Wilson had two kills, four blocks and four assists.
"We were just off," Fleeman said. "Hopefully we'll bounce back this weekend on."
Nevada is scheduled to play in a tournament at Carl Junction tomorrow.
Nevada dropped to 7-1 this season in match play.
The Lady Tiger junior varsity remained undefeated this fall, posting a 25-11, 25-12 victory over Stockton prior to the varsity contest.
