Comets snap losing skid

The Cottey Comet volleyball team ended a four-match losing streak Monday with a win over Labette County Community College in Parsons, Kan.
The Comets won 30-14, 30-19, 25-30, 30-19.
"I was glad to get a win, whether it was on the road or at home," Cottey head coach Marla Kannady said in a press release.
The Comets improved to 13-8 this season with the victory, while Labette County dropped to 3-27.
Cottey has only one match left in the regular season, a home contest Monday against Northeast Oklahoma A&M. The match will begin at 7 p.m. at the Hinkhouse Center.
Cottey College also will host the Region 16 tournament Nov. 3-4, but the tournament pairings have not been released yet.
