Daylight-saving time ends: change your clocks, change batteries in smoke alarms

Friday, October 27, 2006

Nevada Daily Mail

Daylight-saving time officially ends at 2 a.m., the last Sunday in October, when Missourians will set their clocks back one hour. Firefighters say it's also a good time to check batteries in smoke alarms, to ensure the devices will work if needed.

Rules for daylight-saving time will change beginning in the year 2007. Beginning in 2007, daylight-saving time will begin at 2 a.m., on the second Sunday in March and standard time will begin at 2 a.m., on the first Sunday in November.
