Caleb Owen Yurk, 18, Nevada, Mo., passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at St. John's hospital in Kansas City, Kan. He was born Feb. 18, 1988, in Nevada, to Owen Willis Yurk and Sheila Elaine Dirks Yurk.

Caleb was a lifelong resident of Nevada. He attended Nevada schools. Caleb was currently employed by Aramark Foods Service at the Nevada Habilitation Center. He was loved by all his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Owen Yurk and Sheila Yurk, Nevada; one sister, Tonia Davis and her husband Bill, Bonaire, Ga.; paternal grandmother, Ellen Yurk Nevada; maternal grandmother, Edith Dirks, Barone Care Center; uncles and aunt, Bill Yurk, El Dorado Springs, Mo., Willard Yurk, Wichita, Kan., LuDeen and Michale Nichols, Bonaire, Ga., Mary and Noble Landis, Lenexa, Kan., and Floyd Dirks, Nevada; one niece and nephew, Trinity Davis and Iszach Davis; numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Welborn Cemetery, Moundville. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family will receive friends 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 1, at the funeral home.
