Boy's hard luck lost his money

Sheriff R.B. Moore on Thursday arrested Jack Finney, a man about 53-years-old, upon the charge of grand larceny and if he is guilty he deserves to be punished to the full extent of the law. Finney was employed at Glenn Campbell's near Katy as was a young man named Birdine Weber. Weber came from Wright County about three weeks ago, bringing with him $240 in cash which he received for a team.

He is a industrious young man and came here to find work. By the sweat of his brow he earned the money to buy the team which he afterward sold and he expected to work and add to his little start which was represented by the $240. He found employment at Mr. Campbell's and at night he slept in the same room with Finney. Later that night Finney took the money.
