William Robert "Bill" Henry

William Robert "Bill" Henry, 95, Coffeyville, Kan., formerly of Nevada, passed away on Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at Windsor Place, Coffeyville, Kan. He was born May 15, 1911, in Meramec, Okla., to Denny Everett Henry and Myrtle F. Prater Henry. He married Lucille Ruhl on May 6, 1936, in Kingfisher, Okla.

Bill and Lucille lived in Oklahoma for six years prior to coming to Vernon County in 1942. He farmed all of his life in Vernon County. He retired from farming in 1978 and he and Lucille moved to Nevada in 1980. Bill attended the United Methodist Church of Nevada. He has resided in Oklahoma for the past three years.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille, South Coffeyville, Okla., one son, Paul R. Henry and his wife, Barbara, South Coffeyville; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bennie Henry and Denny Henry, Del City, Okla.; and one sister, Sally Holbrook, Del City. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sue Harnden in 1994, two sisters, and two brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 5, at Newton Burial Park, Nevada, with Tom Haynes officiating. Friends may call now and until 1:30 p.m, on Friday and the family receives friends from 11:30 p.m. on Friday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
