Shirley E. Bagley, 80, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 8, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo., to Roy F. McIntire and Madge Fenema McIntire. She married William H. Bagley on March 12, 1954, in Kansas City, Mo., and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1998.
Shirley grew up in Independence, Mo. She graduated from Paseo High School in Kansas City. She and her husband came to Nevada in 1969. Shirley was a homemaker all of her married life. She was a member of the National Humane Society.
Survivors include five children, Sharon K. Hammel and Bobbie J. Merzazada, both of Alexandria, Va., Peggy L. Bagley, Evanston, Ill., William C. Bagley, Webb City, Mo., and James H. Bagley, Nevada; three grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Dellaguardia, Belton, Mo. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Fred McIntire.
A private graveside service was held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 5, at Ozark Memorial Park, Joplin. Those, who wish, may contribute to the Humane Society in care of Ferry Funeral Home 301 S. Washington, Nevada, MO 64772.
