Fort Scott resident Cleo Frederick looks at a picture of her late first husband George Frederick who died in the South Pacific theater during World War II. George, a captain in the 5th U.S. Army Air Force, is the subject of a new book written by his son Clinton titled "A Legacy of Letters: One Soldier's Story." Writing the book helped Clinton, who was four months old when George died, learn about his father.
