Nevada's McKinley named AD of the year

NEVADA, Mo. -- Nevada High School athletic director Kevin McKinley was chosen as the Missouri Southwest District Athletic Director of the Year during a convention earlier this week.

McKinley, a 20-year veteran of the Nevada R-5 School District, was picked by the Missouri Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.

The award is picked by fellow athletic directors in the southwest region, which includes Joplin and Springfield area schools.

McKinley also teaches psychology, sociology and world history at Nevada High School.

McKinley is a 1982 Nevada High School graduate.
