Jared Liles, 20, of Nevada, went on spring break to have some fun. He ended up having more fun than he planned on. On Wednesday morning CBS is going to air an episode of "The Price Is Right" on which Liles appeared as a contestant. Liles was in the audience with Chase and Trace Scotten when that famous phrase rang out, "Jared Liles, come on down, you're the next contestant on the Price is Right."

The two Scottens had graduated during December but went with Liles during his spring break.

"These two friends and I, they're both from Nevada, went to church together and they went with me on spring break," Liles said.

Liles said he had always enjoyed the program and he wanted to go sit in the audience before Bob Barker, the long-time host of the show retired.

"I always wanted to see it in person," Liles said. "Bob Barker is retiring in June and I wanted to see it before he did."

Liles said he thought Trace Scotten had the better chance to be picked but he was the one they called on.

"To get on the Price is Right is one of the things I always wanted to do," Liles said. "I had absolutely no clue I was going to be picked."

Liles didn't go on to the big showcase but was happy with what he won.

"I won $900 worth of power tools," Liles said. "I lost the game for a hot tub. I spun 90 cents on the big wheel but the girl after me got 95 cents. She didn't win her showcase though, an older woman did."

Liles said he had told lots of people that he was on but he wasn't sure people really believed him.

"I'm the kind of guy who jokes around a lot and I didn't know if they would believe me when I told them," Liles said.

Liles said he was somewhat hesitant to let everyone know because he didn't know how he would appear on television.

"I was totally shocked and I don't know how I looked on TV," Liles said. "I don't want to come off looking like an idiot."
