Frank Eugene McGee

Frank Eugene McGee was born Nov. 17, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Eugene Elwin and Roberta Isabel (Stagg) McGee. He passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at his home in Rich Hill, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was united in marriage to Sara B. Watson on April 18, 1970, in Rich Hill, and to this union two children were born.

Frank was owner/operator of Rich Hill Tire for 10 years. He had a great love for the farm and enjoyed raising cattle. Frank also enjoyed flying and spending time with family and friends. Frank served his country in the United States Army.

Frank is survived his wife of 37 years, Sara of the home; one son, Jason McGee and Amanda Kutcher, Lee's Summit, Mo.; one daughter, Melissa and L. Shane Clark; and grandson, Nicholas, Raymore, Mo.; two brothers, Loran Steven McGee and wife Debbie, Kansas City, Mo.; Thomas Paul McGee and wife Linda, Blue Springs, Mo.; one sister, Phyllis S. Drake and husband Vent Thomas, Independence, Mo.; special mother-in-law, Margaret Watson, Rich Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Roberta "Bobbi" Lynn Jones; and father-in-law, Harold Eugene Watson.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 11, at Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, with brother Bill Perkey officiating. Musical selections were "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Garden." Pallbearers were Jewell Tourtillott, Wayne Wilson, Wade Mumma, Jerry Mumma Jr., Scott Trammell and Dennis Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Trammell, Larry Boyd and Steve Heuser. Military Rites were by the American Legion Post No. 67. Interment was in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Rich Hill.
