Tommy Zibung, the son of Thomas Zibung, a former Moran, Kan., resident who died May 14. as the result of injuries he suffered after his motorcycle struck a deer three miles east of Moran on U.S. Highway 54, is interviewed by a KOAM-TV reporter following Fort Scott Community College graduation ceremonies on Friday in Fort Scott. The elder Zibung was scheduled to graduate from the FSCC Harley-Davidson Technician Training Program on Friday. His son received the diploma in his father's honor. After the May 14 accident, Zibung was transported by air ambulance to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., where he later died. Zibung's close friend, Brandon Burton, was driving a Blazer in front of Zibung the evening of the accident but was not injured. Fellow students also rode motorcycles to the event in honor of Zibung.
