His two brides faced him

AURORA, Mo. -- Noah H. Hahn was convicted of bigamy in the circuit court of Dade County at Greenfield, Mo., yesterday and later will be sentenced to the penitentiary. His offense has created a great deal of interest in southwest Missouri because of the boldness with which he acted and the prominence of young woman who became his second wife.

50 years ago

Man reported missing since Friday morning

A 50-year-old man was reported missing yesterday to Sheriff Les Hunt. He is Charlie Kent, who has been employed the past two month on the D.C. Hensley Ranch 5.5 miles west of Nevada on Highway 54.

Mr. Kent is five feet, four inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has thick white hair, is snaggle toothed, and his right forefinger is off at the first joint. He speaks with a broken English accent.

Sheriff Hunt said he was reported missing since 10 a.m., Friday by Mr. Hensley. All his clothes and billfold are still at the Hensley ranch, and the family fears he may have gone fishing or blackberry picking a suffered an accident.

He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, brown trousers and a yellow corduroy cap.
