Randy and Liz Valentine, Fort Scott, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Shannon Lynn, to David Kyle Hathaway, son of David and Brenda Hathaway, Fulton.

Shannon is employed by Medplans of Fort Scott. Kyle is employed with Extrusions of Fort Scott.

The couple will wed at 4 p.m., Sept. 8, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Scott. A reception will follow at the Fulton Community Center.
