Marian Eileen Center, 86, Clinton, Mo. died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Westwood Nursing Center, Clinton, following a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Riverdale, Neb., to George Edward Davis and Nellie Ernestine Magoon Davis. She was married Feb. 5, 1938, in Nevada, Mo., to Clarence E. Center and he preceded her in death March 28, 1984.

Mrs. Center was born in Riverdale, and came to Vernon County, Mo., as a young girl and lived in this area most of her life. She was a member of the Walker Christian Church in Walker, Mo. She was herself a caregiver and enjoyed helping others. She was a friend to all who knew her.

Survivors include one son, Ronald Center and his wife Linda, Fort Scott, Kan.; two daughters, Nadine Easter and her husband Roy, Clinton, Mo., Kathy Dade and her husband Monty, Golden City, Mo.; six grandchildren, Bill Center and his wife Laurie, Lolo, Mont., Ronette Center and Scott Center, both of Fort Scott, Kan., Jackie Scott and her husband Ben, McCune, Kan., Kayla Dade and Janessa Dade, both of Golden City; four step-grandchildren, James Easter, Rita Ward, Jacky Clark and Vicki Gilbert and three great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Bob Davis and his wife Mary Lou, El Dorado Springs; one sister, Dallas Goodman, Schell City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, three sisters, one brother, one son, Larry and three grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Westwood Nursing Home and Hospice in Clinton, Mo., for the care and support of their mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with pastor Paul Rooks officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Schell City. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening between 6-7 p.m.

The family suggests that memorials may be given in her honor to the Lion's Eye Bank in care of the funeral home.
