Results from Nevada High School golf skills clinic

The Second annual Nevada Tigers & Lady Tigers Youth Golf Skills Clinic was held the week of July 9-13h, with the assistance of several of the Nevada Tigers & Nevada Lady Tigers golfers.

The clinic attracted a total of 45 youths (ages 7-14), along with 30 children from ages 7-10 and 15 youth from ages 11-14.

The participants learned the basics of putting, chipping, driving and the rules and etiquette of the game. The clinic was held at Nevada's Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course.

On Wednesday, the participants took part in a putting contest.

On Friday, the participants competed in a tournament. The 7-10 year-olds played on the junior course located on the driving range, and the event consisted of five holes ranging from 88 yards to 115 yards. Eleven-to-14-year -olds played the back nine on the municipal course.
