Survivors include his wife Marjorie, of the home; four sons, W. Dean Bailey and wife Gail, Gene Bailey and wife Rita, and David Bailey and wife Brenda, all of Fort Scott, and Dail Bailey and wife Loretta, Girard; two daughters Janice Snow and husband David and Judy Anderson and husband Ralph, all of Fort Scott. Also surviving are two sisters, Lena Brillhart, Sugar Land, Texas and Georgia Thomas, Lawrence, Kan.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Earl Bailey and Lloyd Bailey, and one sister, Mildred Puckett.
Following cremation, the Rev. Jared Witt will conduct memorial services at 2 p.m., Tuesday in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Private family burial will follow at a later date.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Fort Scott Animal Shelter and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O. Box 347, Fort Scott, KS. 66701.
