An eclectic collection of works by artists from the Vernon County Arts Council is on display, now through Sept. 21, at the PEO Foundation gallery, located inside the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts at Cottey College. Photos by Al Fenske, paintings and sculptures by Kathleen Day, woodworking pieces by Cliff Patterson, paintings by Jeanne Board, Frances Colvin and Carmen Mashek are all part of the exhibit. Above left are paintings by Board, Colvin and Mashek. Above right is a view of the room featuring many aspects of the exhibit, which is free and open to the public, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. A handful of guests who have already visited the exhibit made note of their impressions in a guest book. Anna Smith called it "unique." Delene Fulton commented, "Beautiful work -- what wonderful talent this community has." Linda Gundy also expressed approval of the exhibit with her comment, "One of the best."
