Blu-Jays shut out Jayhawks

MOUND CITY, Kan. -- Jeff Fairbanks scored all three touchdowns for Pleasanton here Friday night as the Blu-Jays defeated rival Jayhawk-Linn for the second consecutive time, 20-0 in Three Rivers League-Upper Division play.

All the game's scoring happened in the second quarter. Fairbanks scored on two one-yard runs and a six-yard run. He rushed for 64 yards on 24 carries.

T.J Davis rushed for 109 yards on 19 carries for the Blu-Jays. He and Danny McCullough each made five tackles.

No statistics were available for Jayhawk-Linn.

Pleasanton, 1-0 in the division and 2-1 overall, travels to Sedan Friday. Jayhawk-Linn, 1-1, 1-2, plays a league game at Uniontown.
