Meeting planned for American Legion baseball on Oct. 4

High school baseball players who live in Nevada, anywhere within Vernon County and those with addresses in the Hume or Rich Hill school districts are invited to an informational meeting about the new American Legion program, the Nevada Red Sox, which will begin play next summer.

Interested players and their families are invited to the meeting this Thursday evening, Oct. 4, at 7:30 p.m., in the Nevada High School auditorium. The Red Sox intend to field both a Junior Legion team for 17 and under players as well as a Senior Legion squad for players 19 years of age and younger.
