Carl McCulley

Carl McCulley, 82, of Chanute, went to be with the Lord ON Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007. Carl was born in Pleasanton, Kan. on April 16, 1925. He was united in marriage to Dolly Atha on September 27, 1947.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. Carl worked for Sears, Nu-Wa and the National Park Service in Fort Scott, Kan. He attended Faith Bible Church in Chanute.

Carl is survived by his wife, Dolly McCulley of Chanute; one daughter, Connie and her husband Danny King of Bernice, Okla.; one son, Lindy and his wife Clarissa of Cheney, Kan.; grandchildren, Krisi Wilhelmi and her husband Dustin, Matthew McCulley of Colorado Springs, Colo., CCT3 Dusty Webster of Jacksonville, Fla., and Savannah King of Bernice, Okla.; a great-grandchild, Grace Ellizabeth Wilhelmi; two sisters, Esther Rees of Pleasanton, Kan. and Susie Mantooth of Eckert, Colo.; one brother, Roland and his wife Mary McCulley of Brookings, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at the Clarksburg Cemetery in Fort Scott. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the Gibson Chapel, 16 N. Forest in Chanute, Kan.

Memorials in his name may be made to the Faith Bible Church.
