Reception marks opening of financial services company

sburn Financial Services Global held a reception Thursday, Oct. 4, to thank those who assisted in the opening of their Nevada Branch. Mike Osburn, president of OFSG, presented appreciation certificates to several individuals including his daughter Jennifer Braun the vice president of OFSG. Others included David Furry, special products representative; local pastor Ted Furry of the Countryside Assembly of God; and David Hedges of Hedges properties.

Following introductions and thanks, Jennifer Braun and Cinda Osburn, special education instructor at Truman Elementary, assisted in entertaining guests with songs and prize drawings.

In business since 2002, OFSG is an independent, nonproprietary business originating in Overland Park, Kan., then moving their base office to Nevada, Mo., on Sept. 15, 2007.

Unique to OFSG is a program defined by Osburn as “morally screened investment plans.” These plans offer clients the ability to work with funds not associated with “crude” business. For example, investors money would not be placed into a company affiliated with pornography retailers or strip clubs.

OFSG also operates an Internet travel portal offering access to major travel search engines online. “Because we traveled so much for work, we decided to start our own travel site,” said Braun.
