Dean and Effie Mitchell

Dean and Effie Mitchell were married at 2 p.m. Oct. 27, 1957, in the Garland Methodist Church. They have lived in the Fort Scott area for 50 years.

The couple’s children are Karen and Ken Hines, Evelyn and Rod McGinnis, and Jerald and Melissa Mitchell. They have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A reception is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Hiattville United Methodist Church. Friends and family members are welcome to attend.
