Ronald Murle Pawley, 82, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at the Medicalodge of Pittsburg South, Pittsburg, Kan, following a lengthy illness. He was born April 6, 1925, in Moundville, Mo., to Jess Pawley and Cora Grooms Pawley. He married Irene Mae Hall on Dec. 16, 1955, in Nevada. She preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 2003.
Ronald grew up on a farm near Moundville. He worked at the Convent in Nevada for a number of years and at the rendering plant near Horton for many years. Ronald also worked for many years as a custodian for Nevada R-5 Schools until his retirement. He has lived in Pittsburg since 2002.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Pawley, Pittsburg, Kan., and Darlene Cloke, Nevada; one son, Gary Wayne Pawley, El Dorado Springs, Mo., five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Irene, he was preceded in death by two brothers Gilbert Pawley and Johnny Pawley, and one sister, Irene May Ellifritz.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada.
