Knights, Panthers split games in Sheldon Tuesday

Northeast Vernon County and Sheldon split their boys and girls basketball games Tuesday night in Sheldon.

The Northeast Vernon County Knights lost 35-32 in overtime to the Sheldon Panthers.

NEVC junior Cody Terry was the high scorer for the Knights and junior Charlie Stewart led the Knights in rebounds.

The NEVC Lady Knights won 45-32 over the Sheldon Lady Panthers Tuesday, with Darci Baer scoring 20 points and getting 15 rebounds. Shannon Gray picked up 8 points.

Northeast Vernon County plays back-to-back home games, hosting Ballard today, with a tip-off of 5:30 p.m. for the girls game and Mack Creek comes to town on Friday with a tip-off of 6 p.m. for the girls.
