Michelle and Kelly Ast, and siblings Kelsie, Trenton, Jayden, and Kasen Ast, of Nevada, are proud to announce the birth of their son and baby brother, Kanton Gerald Ast. Kanton was born at 3:03 p.m., on Jan. 14, 2008, at Mercy Hospital, Fort Scott. He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and measured 19 1/2 inches.

Maternal grandparent is Jerry Holcomb, of Nevada.

Paternal grandparents are LeRoy and Ann Ast, of Nevada.
