Search continues for Missouri's Outstanding Older Worker for 2008

Thursday, March 6, 2008

The nomination deadline for Missouri's 2008 Outstanding Older Worker is March 14. Now in its 18th year, the contest is designed to recognize and celebrate older workers and the contributions they make to the workplace. Nominees must be residents of Missouri, at least 55 years of age, and employed at least 20 hours per week.

Fifteen regional finalists will be selected and invited, along with their employers, to take part in recognition activities, May 1-2, in Jefferson City. Finalists will have an opportunity to meet with Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder and state legislators, tour the State Capitol and attend a banquet in their honor.

One regional finalist will be named Missouri's Outstanding Older Worker during a luncheon at the Governor's Mansion on May 2 and will represent Missouri during Experience Works' Prime Time Awards in Washington, D.C., in late September.

For more information or to request a nomination form, contact, Susan Jackson-Falls, Experience Works, by phone at (800) 368-7576 or by e-mail at susan_jackson-falls@experienceworks.org.
