Merriell Louise (Lee) Clark, 77, Marionville, passed away at 8 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2008, in the Ozarks Methodist Manor.

She was born Jan. 26, 1931, in Hume to Evan Wesley and Ruby May (Mullies) Lee.

Merriell was an elementary English teacher for more than 40 years, retiring in 1990.

She was a member of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, Elizabeth Carey Chapter-DAR and the Aurora United Methodist Church.

On Aug. 15, 1953, she married Joseph Franklin Clark in Hume. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include, daughter, Sherry (Clark) Amely-Valez, Denver, Colo.; sister, Louis Bray, Denver, Colo., and brother, Leon Lee, Freeman, Mo.

Her parents and sister Dixie Schlouter preceded her in death.

Memorial services under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora, Mo., will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 14, at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Ozarks Methodist Manor or United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
