The Nevada City Council will be considering the first reading of an ordinance during Tuesday night's council meeting which would extend the completion deadline for Nevada's new airport terminal building to June 15. It would also authorize the city manager to approve a change order to move the electrical services entrance and the HVAC condensation unit for the building.
The council will also be considering the first reading of an ordinance approving a $20,000 increase of the cost of the city wastewater treatment plant to include design for the city's south interceptor sewer line.
Other items on their agenda include approval of a solicitors license for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for May 24 at the intersection of Osage and Austin, the first reading of an ordinance finalizing the NID assessment on property owned by Kelly Gray, as well as, the second reading of ordinances to concluding the NID assessments on lot 12 of Ashland Estates of Stutesman Realty, Inc. and an ordinance setting the fees for the use of the Frank E. Peters Golf Course.
The agenda also includes a bid for chemicals at Walton Family Aquatics Center and requests for authorization to bid three purchases: an irrigation well at the Frank E. Peters Golf Course; two new police vehicles and five security camera systems and accessories.
Also scheduled for Tuesday's meeting are presentations from Jhaun Hurn, Community Support Services, about building five group homes in Nevada and IMPACT Tourism regarding wayfinding signage for Nevada.
And Mayor Bill Edmonds will be issuing proclamations during the council meeting recognizing: the dedication and selfless actions of America's soldiers; National Public Safety Telecommunications Week and National Animal Control Appreciation Week.
