Kenton Tyler Stoddard

Kenton Tyler Stoddard passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2008, at Menorah Hospital, Overland Park, Kan. He was born Sept. 5, 1970, in Nevada. He received his Master's Degree in Economics from Central Missouri State University. He worked at Midland Loan Services, Overland Park, Kan., from September 1998 until his death. He was a volunteer at Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., where he served 2,844 hours in service, which began in November 1999. Kenton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raytown, Mo.

He is preceded in death by his father, Victor T. Stoddard. He is survived by his step-father and mother, Frank and Gloria Guzman; a brother Kyle Travis Stoddard and his wife Kimberly; two nephews, Matthew and Adam Stoddard, of Lee's Summit, and step-sister, Kathryn Guzman, of Independence. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Mildred Stoddard, of Bryant, Ark., and Joanna Woody rural Bronaugh.

A visitation and memorial service are planned for Saturday, April 5, at First Baptist Church, 10500 East 350 Highway, Raytown, MO 64133. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., and the memorial service is to start at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Children's Mercy Hospital, at Resource Development Child Life, 2401 Gillham, Kansas City, MO 64108.
