Volunteer health trainers needed

Care Connection for Aging Services and the Vernon County Senior Center are seeking individuals to attend training to become leaders of the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, a six-week workshop developed by Stanford University designed to help people manger the challenges of arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus, chronic pain, osteoporosis, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, migraines and other chronic conditions. An ideal leader is an individual who either has a chronic condition or has a family member with chronic illness, is not fearful of speaking in a group and is committed to helping others.
