Bo Bergen struck out 11 batters in six innings with no walks for McDonald County. He was relieved by closer Nick Wills who allowed no runs and struck out one in the seventh. Nevada's two hits came from Colby Shepherd in the first inning and Kyle Hughes in the fourth.
The loss dropped the Tigers' overall record to 9-8 and 3-4 in the Southwest Conference and improved McDonald County to 6-13 and 2-6. Nevada plays its final regular-season game 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Carthage before the district tournament begins next week.
