The end of the school year is just around the corner, and, in keeping with tradition, Cottey College will host its end-of-the-semester picnic and concert at BIL Hill. Jason LeVasseur will perform on Saturday, May 10. The picnic will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the concert will follow.

LeVasseur has lived around the world--Mexico, Belgium, North Carolina, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and now Nashville -- but amid the changes of venue, one thing has remained constant: the award-winning singer/songwriter's folk-tinged, pop/rock roots. LeVasseur's world travels have influenced his playing style and his perspective on the world, providing material for the often funny stories he tells between songs during his engaging live performances.

The admission price for the meal is $6 per person and is payable at the door. The concert is free.

BIL Hill is at the south end of College Street, just above Radio Springs Park in Nevada, Mo.
