Development needs promise of increase

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Dear Editor,

Mr. Bill Erwin, Thank you for your so correct comments during the meeting concerning possible group homes in Marmaduke Park.

We need businesses that bring pleasant surroundings. If they were not successful who would be responsible for six empty houses?

The Hendin home is lovely and they should be concerned about a project that would lessen its value.

The idea that Rep. Barney Fisher is proposing a tax on us for a verterans home is enough to concern about. Why shouldn't the federal government be responsbile for our veterans.

Let Mr. Hurn go elsewhere and let us keep our parks for our enjoyment.

Mrs. W.R. Hensley
