Tuesday, May 20, 2008

The Nevada City Council will be looking at a short agenda when they meet tonight at 7 in the Public Safety Building, 120 S. Ash Street.

The council will be considering two ordinances, one to remove the parking in front of Ernsbarger Heating and Air Conditioning in the 400 block of West Cherry Street to make it easier to enter or leave the business. The second ordinance scheduled concerns allowing city employees to run for certain elective offices.

The council will also consider a resolution setting fees and charges for responding to fires outside the city limits.

They will also be considering bids for wayfinding signs for the Chamber of Commerce, caustic soda for the water treatment plant and health insurance for city employees.

Jim Novak, parks board chairman, is also scheduled to give a report to the council.
