Sharon Kay Dissler

Sharon Kay Dissler, 65, of Nevada, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at St. Luke's Hospital, in Kansas City, Mo., following a lengthy illness. She was born on Dec. 27, 1942, in Nevada, to Lester Keith Cole and Ada Belle Wilson Cole. On Oct. 9, 1965, she was married in Horton to James W. Dissler, and he survives of the home.

Sharon graduated from Nevada High School in 1960. She attended St. Luke's School of Nursing, in Kansas City, Mo., and graduated in 1965. Sharon worked as a nurse for the Nevada R-5 school system for 11 years. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.

In additon to her husband, Sharon is survived by, a brother-in-law, Roy Dissler, of El Dorado Springs, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., today, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Nevada. Interment will follow in the Balltown Cemetery, in Horton. Friends may call from now until 9:30 a.m., today at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. A Rosary service was held at 7 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
