An African Giant Black Millipede, from the Wonders of Wildlife Museum in Springfield, Mo., visited the children taking part the Nevada Public Library's Summer reading program, during a special presentation on Wednesday, at the City/County Community Center in Nevada. The species is the is the largest millipede in the world. Wildlife specialists said millipedes differ from centipedes by the number of legs each body segment has; millipedes have four per segment, but centipedes only have two.

Aaron Gaines, 7, is the winner of this week's grand prize, given away during the event. Aaron won a live butterfly garden in which he will grow his own garden and then get a free butterfly. Aaron is the son of Chris and Laurie Gaines of Schell City.
