Tearful tribute punctuates survivor's passion

Silvers/Herald-Tribune-- Area resident and cancer survivor Theresa Davenport becomes a little emotional as she recognizes her family in attendance at the 2008 Bourbon County Relay for Life event on Friday at Frary Field in Fort Scott. Davenport also talked about her experiences in dealing with Stage-3 type melanoma, which she was diagnosed with in 2002. Davenport, who has been involved with the Relay for Life since 2003, also heads up a cancer support group in Bourbon County for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. More photos on 4B.
