Captain Randy Beydler, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announces the following: Two public meetings will be held regarding upcoming changes to commercial driver's license testing procedures.

At 9:30 a.m., on July 23, 2008, a meeting will be held at Troop D Headquarters, 3131 East Kearney, Springfield, and a second meeting will take place in Carthage, Mo., at Memorial Hall, 407 South Garrison, at that same time.

The meetings will include a PowerPoint presentation and are anticipated to last one hour. Following the presentations in Springfield and Carthage, a practical demonstration of the CDL basic skills maneuvers with a Class "A" and Class "B" vehicle will be given.

The practical demonstration in the Springfield area will be held at the CDL testing facility, 6951 East OO Highway, Strafford, Mo.

The practical demonstration in the Carthage area will be held at the CDL testing facility, 5550 South Grand, Carthage, Missouri, near the interchange of U.S. 71 Highway and Cedar Road.
