Ladies tee off at local golf course

The two lady scramble, sponsored by the Ladies Golf Association, was held Wednesday, July 31, at the Frank E. Peters Golf Course.

The tournament was divided into two flights, the A and B flights. The A flight winners were Sue Taylor, Joplin, and Heidi Rice, Springfield, Mo. Second place went to the team of Jo Poyzer, El Dorado Springs, and Beth Parmaly, Joplin, followed by Ginger Milner and Donna Davis, Harrisonville, Mo., in third.

The B Flight was won by Charlene Winfiel and Janice Runyan, Nevada, followed by the teams of Linda Gruenhagen and Susie Judd, Nevada, and Jeanne Ulrich, Iola, Kan., and Melissa Reynolds, Yates Center, Kan., rounding out the top three.
