Not all of the work that goes into the Nevada High School marching band's performances at home football games involves music. Sarah Andrews and the other members of the Tiger Pride Marching Band practiced marching Monday afternoon without their instruments so they can concentrate on learning the routine they will use all fall. For two weeks in August, band members spend hours marching in often hot and humid weather to perfect their performance. The flawless execution of their marching routine is as important as a flawless musical performance when they compete in the various marching band competitions during the fall.
