Reed -- 50 years

Tommy and Colleen Reed, Rich Hill, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 31, 2008, with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Family Life Center, First Baptist Church, 301 East Highland Avenue, Nevada.

The celebration, open to all friends and family, will be hosted by their children and grandchildren, Anita and Steve Byers, Matt and Alyssa, Nevada, and Lori and Tom Mabe, Allison and Kyle, Overland Park, Kan.

Tommy and the former Colleen Farrell were married on Sept. 7, 1958, at the Metz Methodist Church.

The family requests the omission of gifts.
