What is that thing, anyway?

Chances are you've seen them before -- mammoth propeller-like objects, for example, being hauled along highways by tractor-trailers. They're really parts of wind turbines, and chances are, you'll be seeing quite a few more of them if you're traveling the highways during the next few week.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, approximately 70 tractor trailer rigs carrying oversized loads of wind turbine parts are making their way from Kansas to Iowa, traveling through Barton, Vernon and Cedar counties.

The Missouri Department of Transportation Southwest District is expecting no travel delays due to this increased traffic.
