Saturday, September 6, 2008

The Kaysinger Business Conference is set for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 25. at Cottey College in Nevada, Mo. Seating for the event is limited so it is important to call toll-free (866) 884-3393 to reserve a seat.

There is no charge for the conference, thanks to the generosity of sponsors. Conference details and map are available at the Web site www.kaysinger.org.

The 2008 Kaysinger Business Conference "Business Builder: Tips, Trends & Traits" will feature a full day of exciting and informative speakers, featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Marylou DeWald of Ottawa University.

Participants will hear from business owners from the area who have proven success strategies.

Breakout sessions will allow participants to ask specific questions regarding their business, and exhibitor booths will be open between sessions.

"This is an excellent opportunity to acquire and increase your knowledge to starting and growing your new or existing business. Because when small businesses improve, the local economy is strengthened for all," said Kathy Macomber, business development specialist, University of Missouri Extension and member of the conference planning committee.

Conference organizers have gathered many resources and organizations so participants can efficiently get the information they need during the conference.

Conference admission is free; however there is a $15 charge if you choose to attend the exceptional on-site lunch prepared by Cottey Chef, Michael Richardson.

For more information contact the Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission, (866) 884-3393 or Macomber at the Barton County Extension Center, (417) 682-3579.
