Assistant Superintendent Christie Peterson said the devices are extremely high quality, and will be suitable for use in large rooms or in bright classrooms.
"These are really a workhorse device. Years ago, this was a luxury, a novelty, but now they are very commonplace," Peterson said. Nevertheless, the quality of devices donated to the district is anything but commonplace.
"I don't know that we've ever purchased one of this quality. These are each worth about $3,800," making the entire gift worth about $114, 500.
"We're excited about this. They have been shipped, and we will be looking for the best places throughout the district to use them.
Board President Larry Forkner comment, "This will really be nice for things like parents' night, assemblies" and other uses throughout the district. "We are very appreciative of this."
