Lady Tiger golfers knock off Seneca

Thursday, September 18, 2008

The Nevada High School Lady Tiger golf team traveled to Seneca Tuesday afternoon.

The varsity girls shot well in the match, with Lakyn Mansfield taking the best score at 49. The Lady Tigers finished with a total combined score of 215, beating Seneca by 52 strokes.

Emily Debrine came up with the second best score of the match with a 54, while Melea Galimberto tied for third, each completing the course in 56 strokes. Nevada had five varsity and three JV competitors in the tournament to just four varsity competitors for Seneca, so the top four Lady Tiger individual scores were used to determine the final team score.

The Lady Tigers are set to travel to Pleasant Hill this afternoon and will be in competition at home for the third time this year when Girard, Seneca and Uniontown all come to the Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course on Monday.
