Lady Tigers take fifth in Monett

The Nevada Lady Tigers tennis team competed in the Monett tournament on Friday, Sept. 19.

Whitley Del Rosario took first place in the first singles match, taking her first tournament win of the year and remaining undefeated overall as the Lady Tigers made their way to a fifth place finish among the eight teams that competed in the tournament. Katlyn Short was able to have some success in singles competition as well, as she took a win in one of her three matches.

The number two doubles team of Ashely McKinley and Leah Creasy took third overall, but the number one team went 0-3. The Lady Tigers were scheduled to be in competition for their next meet on Monday at Mount Vernon with the hope of adding to their season win totals.
