Over the weekend, the Lady Tigers played in the El Dorado Springs Invitational tournament and placed second to Lamar. In game one of the day, Nevada rolled easily over Stockton, plating 17 runs in the top of the first inning and eventually taking the win 27-0 on 17 hits.
Game two was not quite as one-sided, but the Tigers were still able to pull off the shutout as they took out Butler 6-0. By the time the championship game started, Nevada was up against much more even competition in Lamar and fell just short, losing the game 3-2.
On Monday, the Lady Tigers traveled to Humansville and both the varsity and JV teams were able to add to their win totals again. The varsity girls took a 4-1 victory while the JV game was a bit more one-sided, seeing Nevada roll 11-2.
The Lady Tigers are scheduled to be in action again tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Bolivar for their next contest at 4:30 p.m.
