Marjorie Ruth Hansen

Marjorie Ruth Hansen, 80, Harrisonville, Mo., died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs, Mo. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the chapel. Burial in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, Mo.

Marjorie was born June 1, 1928, in Walker, Mo., the daughter of Roley and Agnes K. (Hair) Ensor. She married Duane Hansen on Feb. 14, 1944, in Fort Scott. She was a homemaker. Maxine and Duane lived in Walker, Nevada and Independence, Mo., before moving to Harrisonville in 1984. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Independence, Mo.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gary Duane Hansen. She is survived by her husband, Duane, of the home; one daughter, Shirley Maid, Harrisonville, Mo.; one brother, Marvin Ensor, Billings, Mo.; one sister, Laura Spencer, El Dorado Springs, Mo.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
